Comparing Hot Tubs

By Matthew Giovanisci

After working all day, youre tired, youre achy and since youve been on your feet all day, you just want to relax. How awesome would it be to come home from a long day like this and dip yourself into a warm, massaging hot tub. Its one of the best ways to relieve stress, its been proven.

So you want to buy a hot tub now, I don't blame you. Most hot tubs reside outdoors with a spa cover. However if you have a sunroom or an enclosed porch you can keep it indoors. Now we just have to learn how to compare the best brands and buy one.

First you need to learn the basics before purchasing a hot tub. Keep an eye out for things like the color, the number of jets and brand names.

There are basically two kinds of hot tubs, which are wooden-staved soaking tubs and one-piece plastic tubs also known as spas.

Here are a few tips when comparing hot tubs to purchase:

1. Look at the material the hot tubs are made from. Do you want a wood hot tub that looks cool but has a lot of maintenance or a plastic one which doesn't have the wood look. Plastic is more popular but it's all what you want.

2. Size - There are rectangle, square, oval and round spas. They all come in different sizes too, but keep in mind that you may have to worry about space. And also if you get a big tub that could mean more entertaining family and friends too.

3. Pick the color of the spa. Do you want a rich and peaceful experience, the pick light colors. For an exciting and energetic look go for dark vibrant colors like dark blue and purple.

4. Read reviews online. There are many websites you can do this with. Also check out the major brand names like Jacuzzi, Sundance and Hot Springs to start. By visiting these sites you can learn more about the jets and how hot tubs actually work and help you decided which spa is right for you
